2024 Butterfly Festival

     opening ceremonies 9-10 a.m.
     all activities & venues 10-5 p.m.

Cost: Admission & parking are free but donations are greatly appreciated! This is one of EmilyAnn's biggest fundraisers! Donation boxes are available at the entrance and around the festival grounds.

Parking: Wimberley High School (paved walkway over to the EmilyAnn grounds)
Weather: The festival goes on rain or shine! As the festival approaches, updates will be posted here on the website and on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/EmilyAnnTheatre.

Artist of the Year

The Grand Prize winner of the 2023 Butterfly Festival art contest was Bree Browning, an 8th grader at Danforth Junior High in Wimberley. The 2024 Butterfly Festival postcard and t-shirt will be centered around her wonderful art!

   

   

   

Important Day-of Information

  • Weather

    The Butterfly Festival always goes on, rain or shine! The butterflies will fly no matter the weather!

  • Opening Times & Butterfly Releases

    All activities, crafts, concessions, stores and exhibits open at 10:00 a.m., after opening ceremonies. Butterflies are released every 30 minutes throughout the day beginning at 10:00 a.m.

  • Concessions Available

    The Butterfly Festival is full of tasty concessions including: hot dogs, chili dogs, frito pies, chips, drinks, and other snacks.

  • Will Call for Online Purchases

    All items ordered online will be available for pickup at a will-call area near the entrance of the Butterfly Festival on April 20th. In the unlikely event you miss the festival, your t-shirt and any other items may be picked up at the EmilyAnn office in the week following the festival.

  • Alcohol, Dogs, and Firearms

    Alcohol, pets, and firearms are NOT allowed on the EmilyAnn grounds. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. Service animals are permitted.

  • Parking

    All parking for the Butterfly Festival is at Wimberley High School. Onsite parking will be limited to vehicles with a handicapped sticker or a special permit issued by the EmilyAnn Theatre.

  • Payment Types Accepted

    Almost all areas are by donation and donations can be made via cash or credit card at the front entrance, the stores, or the concession stands. Cash donations can be made at any station. Purchases at the stores, front entrance and concessions can be made by cash or credit card.
